Our Addiction to Oil.

Everyday I hear about my addiction to oil. I hear environmentalist, greens, socialist, communist, liberals, whatever they want to be called now talking about MY addiction to oil.

You are darn right I’m addicted to oil. I’m also proud of that addiction. You are darn right I'm addicted to oil baby! And I'm proud of it. I for one love my SUV. If I'm driving and I have an accident there is a much better chance of me living than my environmentalist geography teacher who drives a small high gas mileage plastic car. I live and she dies! Guess what people I am happy to be addicted to oil. I’m addicted to success and prosperity. Oil has brought that to our country as much as any other resource in our history.

Oil and Coal and other things, "Greens" want us to get rid of, have saved millions of lives! When a disaster happens in countries without oil, coal, and energy, lots of people die. Look at the Tsunami that hit Indonesia. It killed tens of thousands of people. When we have a disaster happens in this country that would usually kill thousands in other countries, we have usually single digit deaths. It is because our buildings hold up. Steel is made from coal and iron. Without it our buildings would be much weaker. They would collapse more often and quicker. Oil transportation is cheaper and better and people can get out of “dodge” if a disaster is coming. They find out about that disaster coming from a TV and news station that is powered by electricity most likely coming from Coal. The fact is oil and coal have saved thousands and possible millions of lives throughout history and has made our lives much more enjoyable.

We always hear about the dangers of global warming and how America is hurting the environment. Humans only account for less than 4% of all carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This is what people like Al Gore say causes temperatures to rise. I tend not to give humans much credit for it if we only account for less than 1/25 of something. The next time a politician tells you that you are addicted to oil and we must get off of it. You tell him what he can do with his or her expensive alternative energy if you know what I mean.
